PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

I promote the belief that all students, staff, and community members are valuable assets for promoting student achievement both academically and socially. We as a school community in the pursuit of creating lifelong learners encourage students to succeed academically, personally, socially, and collaboratively within a positive, safe environment known as the educational process. In order for students to reach their highest potential as lifelong learners, the school as a whole must challenge the expectations of students, teachers, and the community to an achievement level which exceeds their own personal views toward learning. As these statements above are addressed in a meaningful program, the students will adapt a philosophy which values education, learning, the views of others, and their civic duties as a life-long process enabling them to contribute positively to society. All children must be presented opportunities to grow as individuals in the classroom with the incorporation of various learning styles, after school programs, sports, student government, and a variety of clubs. This philosophy can only be realized through maintaining the highest standards for students academically as well as behaviorally.
