work subject to change-Always see teacher) Language Arts Shared Reading Freak the Mighty The Unusual about the Usual
The three main parts are: 1. You are to write a TWO paged report (please type -FONT SIZE -14 - DOUBLE SPACED between lines) about the information you found on your topic. Please remember you are not to tell the obvious, but the stuff we don’t know. EXAMPLE- If your topic is bubble gum. DON'T tell us how people like to chew bubble gum and it comes in different flavors. DO tell how how it is made? Which is the most popular chewing gum? Are there any world records with bubble gum? Weird facts are the fun and interesting! 2. You WILL NOT be reading your two page paper, but you are to speak in front of the class on the topic. You may make note cards to help your presentation, but no reading. Practice at home. Your entire presentation must take at least 10 minutes, but no more than 15 minutes. 3. Finally, you should have THREE visual presentations. One of the visual presentations must be made by you such as a poster board, a homemade video, a model, or a power point presentation. The second can be items brought in that add to your presentation. EXAMPLE: If you have the topic of teddy bears you may choose to bring in a teddy bear that your grandparent had as a child. Be sure to explain why you brought the items in and how they relate to your topic. The third visual must be a fiction AND nonfiction BOOK on the topic. Remember you have an entire marking period to work on this. Show your effort!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun!!!!!!!!!!
