Second Semester
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS: LD Math is a special education class designed to follow the curriculum of core plus math. Algebra, geometry, statistics, and discrete math are all incorporated in this class. HSPA and other forms of real world applications are supplementary tools also used.
College Prep Algebra is an integrated math course designed to relate Algebra to real world problems. It combines various areas of mathematics that help in the understanding of the real world. SEMESTER WRITING ASSIGNMENTS Writing Assignment #1- Due November 10, 2007 Give an example of all of the types of graphs that were used in the class and write a brief description of each. In your description, please include how each graph is useful, when is each graph appropriate, etc.
Writing Assignment #2- Due January 12, 2008 Describe a linear model. How does a linear model help us analyze information? What happens to our perception of a linear model if the scalars are changed?
TESTS - 15% of the final grade QUIZZES - 25% of the final grade CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK - 40% of the final grade CLASS PARTICIPATION - 20% of the final grade
